Dear musicians,

Frequenze Libere is a curated concert series, organised by Carovana091, a small, volunteer-run association based in Locarno. Each year, we host around 12 concerts, focusing on diverse approaches to improvised and experimental music. It is important to us to feature musicians from all language regions of Switzerland and to support international projects led by Swiss artists.

Due to our limited resources, we usually present small formations such as duos or trios. We do not currently have the means to host larger ensembles. The concerts take place at Spazio Elle, a small venue close to the railway station in Locarno, with an audience size ranging between 20 and 40 people. Please note that we do not have a sound engineer and only basic technical equipment is available. Unfortunately, a piano cannot be provided at this time.

We do not accept booking requests at the moment, as the series is curated. However, we are always curious to discover new music – feel free to send us your material. We listen to everything and will get in touch if it fits one of our upcoming programmes.
