This solo plays with presence, as it sometimes refers to the way we relate to sound phenomena in our environment by being attentive or provocative. Läng uses various acoustic devices as extensions of the mouth, substitutes for the voice, and displacements of the body.

Antoine Läng: solo voice, Jew’s harp
Antoine Läng (1975) lives in Geneva, Switzerland, and dedicates an important part of his sound practice to the voice, taking into account the moving body and the acoustic context. The physical constraints and limitations inherent to this instrument shape his work through experimentation and improvisation, whether idiomatic or non-idiomatic, sometimes involving electronics, mouth-based acoustic devices, or the Jew’s harp.
This work extends to performance, composition, and sound pieces within numerous ongoing collaborations with Anouck Genthon (previous guest at Spazio Elle), Olga Kokcharova, Jacques Demierre (frequently heard at Spazio Elle), Jason Kahn, Le Recueil des Miracles, Insub Meta Orchestra, and the Insub collective, as well as in his solo projects.
