III is the new trio project by Tizia Zimmermann, Fabian Dudek, and Leif Berger. This musical collaboration is fully dedicated to the experience of the present moment. Between free improvisation and introspective soundscapes, fragile and energetic fields of tension emerge—sometimes densely intertwined, other times clear and explosive. Each performance unfolds like a sonic laboratory, where predefined structures give way to spontaneity, generating a continuous dialogue between chaos and order, sound and silence. The trio explores complex textures, subtle dynamics, and sonic contrasts, offering the audience an intense and immersive listening experience. Every composition is a unique journey, where the collective energy and individual sensitivity of the musicians merge, creating unpredictable and deeply evocative soundscapes. III offers no pre-packaged music: every note, breath, and pause contributes to a sonic narrative that takes shape only in the moment.

Tizia Zimmermann (*1995) is one of the most exciting voices in the contemporary accordion scene. Trained at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, her repertoire spans contemporary classical music, free improvisation, and experimental music. Her work explores the microtonal and timbral possibilities of the accordion, creating dense, layered soundscapes, often combining acoustic and electronic instruments. She has collaborated with artists such as Christian Weber, Lucas Niggli, Pablo Lienhard, Manuel Troller, and Chris Corsano and has performed at numerous international festivals.

Fabian Dudek is a German saxophonist and composer who investigates musical forms where rhythm, harmony, and structure intertwine in innovative ways. His creative process draws significant inspiration from everyday life, discovering new possibilities and surprises in seemingly ordinary experiences. Dudek has released five albums, four of which were nominated for the German Music Critics' Award, and in 2023 he received the Jazz and Improvisation Prize from the City of Cologne.

Leif Berger is a drummer and composer from Cologne, also active on piano, keyboards, and percussion. He has released ten albums as a soloist or bandleader and participated as a guest musician on over 60 albums. His collaborations include Ben Monder, Norma Winstone, Ralph Alessi, Achim Kaufmann, Jozef Dumoulin, DJ Illvibe, Loren Stillman, Doug Weiss, Kit Downes, Elias Stemeseder, Markus Stockhausen, Cory Smythe, Pablo Held, Simon Nabatov, Seamus Blake, Thomas Morgan, and many others. Leif Berger plays Meinl Cymbals and C&C Drums.
