Hans Werner Plüss

After studying at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, his musical career began in the field of early music, performing on historical wind instruments. He later moved on to the saxophone and clarinet, working within the jazz scene. He discovered free music through encounters with Frank Gratkowski, Carl Ludwig Hübsch, and Peter K. Frey. Since then, improvisation has become his preferred means of expression. Hans Werner Plüss has been working with Ensemble Sous-Sol since 2014.
