This initiative would weaken public broadcasting – and with it our local, experimental arts: small concerts, underground theater, films, workshops – all the projects that otherwise wouldn’t get support would be the first to disappear.

We See You will continue in 2026. Our concerts in 2025 were not only exceptionally beautiful, they left traces. As a dear colleague said, it was striking how easy it was to truly come together on a deep level. We found a social and at the same time authentic stance that allowed us to respond to what we experience every day, and to feel that this carrying and being carried was shared by many – across Switzerland.

Cedrik Fermont is much more than an experimental musician. The Berlin-based Belgian-Congolese composer, mastering engineer, author, radio host, concert organizer, and label founder (Syrphe) has been working for over three decades at the intersection of sound art, political engagement, and global research.
